Dear Visionlist:
RIT is hiring a new tenure-track assistant professor in our Neuroscience program!

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in neuroscience or related field. Our preference is for a specialization in the fields of neurobiology, visual neuroscience, or computational neuroscience. The candidate will have broad experience with neuroscience topics and tools. They will preferably have post-doctoral research experience demonstrating success with, or strong potential for, securing external funding for their planned research program.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong skills in teaching college courses, preferably independently (beyond Teaching Assistant). They will be enthusiastic about teaching undergraduate courses and training undergraduate researchers, as well as providing student support and mentorship, showing active consideration of the needs of all students. Potential teaching assignments may include introductory neuroscience courses and advanced electives such as “Neurobiology” or “Animal Vision”. The candidate would also be expected to develop courses based on their expertise.
