The Vision & Neurodevelopment Lab at the University of Waterloo is Recruiting a Doctoral Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Eligible for Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards
Are you eligible for a Canada Impact+ Research Training Award<https://sshrc-crsh.canada.ca/en/funding/opportunities/canada-impact-plus-research-training-awards.aspx> and have an interest in vision science? I am seeking motivated trainees to join the Vision and Neurodevelopment (VAN) Lab<https://uwaterloo.ca/vision-and-neurodevelopment-laboratory/> in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Waterloo. The successful applicant will become part of a dynamic research team studying both typical and atypical visual development, with a focus on how pediatric eye conditions such as amblyopia (‘lazy eye’) and strabismus (eye turn) impact children’s everyday functioning. Our lab uses psychophysics, eye tracking (EyeLink 1000 Plus, Tobii Glasses 2, Readalyzer), and body tracking (GAITRite walkway, Qualisys) techniques to investigate eye movements, reading, and motor performance in children.

Applicants will have a Masters or PhD in vision science, psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.

Award values:
Doctoral: $40,000/year for up to 3 years
Postdoctoral: $70,000/year for up to 2 years

To express interest, submit an expression‑of‑interest form<https://uwaterloo.ca/future-graduate-students/catalogs/future-graduate-student-research-opportunities/functional-consequences-atypical-visual-development> through the official University of Waterloo site. Please indicate that
