Dear friends and colleagues,

We are hosting a workshop on population receptive field (pRF) modeling, November 5th and 6th 2026 at the University of Coimbra in Coimbra, Portugal. In this two-day workshop (nominal enrollment fee 125€), we will present different applications of pRF modeling and how to implement them using the new prfmodel Python package (https://github.com/popylar-org/prfmodel). You can already peruse its documentation and the first tutorials here: https://popylar-org.github.io/prfmodel/introduction.html

The workshop will contain a few lectures, but its main focus will lie on hands-on programming tutorials. We will use example datasets from different experiments (e.g., visual, tonotopic, numerosity) and neuroimaging domains with a focus on fMRI.
You can find all details and sign up on the workshop website: https://popylar-org.github.io/2026-11-05_workshop-coimbra/  <https://popylar-org.github.io/2026-11-05_workshop-coimbra/>Please note that there will only be a limited number of spots so that we can assist all participants during the hands-on sessions.

We hope you will join us in beautiful Coimbra, Portugal!
On behalf of the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging and the Netherlands eScience Center,
