Dear colleagues,
We are happy to announce that the next 43rd edition of the European
Conference of Visual Perception (ECVP) will be held in Zagreb from August
23 to 27, 2020. ECVP is an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to the
study of visual perception and multi-sensory integration using a variety
of methods (psychophysics, electrophysiology, neuroimaging, computational
modeling, ...). Work presented at the ECVP could be of fundamental or
applied nature. We are also open to clinical work (brain damage, autism,
schizophrenia, ...) and to topics at the intersection with other
disciplines (sports, arts, design, ergonomics, ...). Young researchers and
doctoral students are especially encouraged to participate and to present
their best work. For some additional description of the nature and history
of the meeting, see the website https://www.ecvp2018.org/historyecvp2018
of the 2018 edition that took place in Trieste.
As in previous editions, the conference will consist of keynote lectures,
invited symposia, and parallel talk and poster sessions that will be
evenly distributed across the week. We are proud to announce that the
Perception Lecture will be delivered by Johan Wagemans (University of
Leuven, Leuven, Belgium) and the Rank Prize Lecture will be delivered by
Pieter R. Roelfsema (Netherlands Institute of Neuroscience, Amsterdam,
Netherlands).
The conference venue will be the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and
Computing (FER). FER is the leading national and regional research and
higher education institution. It offers all modern conference facilities
and it is conveniently located near the city center.
Zagreb is the cultural, scientific and economic center of Croatia located
in its northwestern region, along the river Sava. Zagreb is a safe city
whose doors are always open to visitors. It offers a wide range of
accommodation options and it is easily accessible by plane from all
corners of Europe. Zagreb is also a good starting point to explore other
parts of Croatia. More info about Zagreb can be found at

Please, save the dates! We are looking forward to welcome you at ECVP in
Zagreb in 2020!
On behalf of the scientific and organizing committee,
Drazen Domijan
