Like many of us, I have been enjoying the new freedoms of the online seminars with international speakers, often with some audience from other labs around the world. I also like being able to watch and ask questions still in my pajamas and while having tea and cookies.
My suggestion is that vision groups everywhere might open their talks to the community. I would love to hear presentations from Beijing, Berlin, Moscow, New York, Rochester, Austin, Paris, I could go on. It is true that we can search for these links ourselves but if you can post them us, it saves time and it lets us know you are welcoming the larger community.
So, colloquium and seminar organizers, could you post the link to your seminar calendar on CVNet and visionlist? You could either ask us to contact your host to request a meeting link or make the meeting links public on your calendar.
I hope we can maximize our use of this new online style of science and bring our community closer together.
Stay well and looking forward to seeing all of you.
