We are excited to announce Dr. Julie Golomb as the OPAM 2022 Keynote
Speaker!

Dr. Golomb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the
Ohio State University. She is head of the Cognitive Neuroscience PhD
program, and she directs the OSU Vision and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab,
where she and her team combine psychophysical, neuroimaging, and
computational methods to investigate how visual features, objects, and
spatial locations are perceived and coded in the brain, and how these
representations are influenced by eye movements, shifts of attention, and
other dynamic cognitive processes. Her lab is funded by grants from the
National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation. She is also
passionate about mentoring, DEI, and outreach activities and has been
actively involved in supporting the development of early career researchers
at OSU and in various academic societies.

Dr. Golomb completed her B.S. at Brandeis University and her Ph.D. at Yale
University, after which she did a postdoc at MIT before joining the faculty
at OSU. She has been previously recognized with an APA Distinguished
Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology, a Sloan
Research Fellow in Neuroscience, a FABBS Early Career Impact Award, and
other awards for her scientific accomplishments. To learn more about Dr.
Golomb’s work, please visit her lab page <https://u.osu.edu/golomblab/>.
